| ****************8* | MHW 990 -carrying the fleet number G2455 - was a 1950 vintage L5G which joined Gloucester City in February 1959. The Eastern Coach Works bodied 35 seat rear door vehicle had previously run at Bath and from Lawrence Hill Depot, Bristol. It left Gloucester in October 1965 and was one of the last Ls to be withdrawn, in August 1966. It is seen here at Gloucester London Road Depot with some classmates and Triumph Herald car - ready to operate a short service to Kings Square. |

| Pictured on 10 April 1962, 1950 vintage MHW 986 carried the Gloucester fleet number 2475 after renumbering from C2759 in the Bristol City fleet in April 1953. It was delivered new as a dual-door vehicle but was modified as a front entrance one-man operated bus in March 1958. Cheltenham became its operating base from April 1959 until withdrawal in July 1963. Seen in the background here is the famous Bon Marche store in Kings Square - still in existence in 2005 as Debenhams. | ||
