| It was with great sadness that I heard of the death of top Gloucestershire photographer Kim Hibberd at Frenchay Hospital early in the morning of Saturday 3 January 2009. His untimely demise has robbed those who knew him of a poet, a musician, an artist and, most importantly of a kind and caring human being - sensitive and willing to both listen to others and share his wealth of talent. No more will his arrival with a freshly printed set of glossy 6 x 4s be greeted with the cry of "Kim, Kim, show us your photographs" and never again will we see the like of his picture essays on 771 Royal Naval Air Squadron or RAF Strike Command or even his contribution to Rotors over Gloucestershire. As a humble tribute I present one of Kim's pictures of a diamond of Panavia Tornados, this time with the traditional respectful "missing man" formation recognised by airmen everywhere. May peace be upon you my dear friend. | ||
