"To maintain a
visible Christian presence in the village of
Tibberton, a place of public worship and a
vehicle of evangelism and social care as part of
the Gloucester Methodist Circuit."
The members of Tibberton Methodist
Church aim:-
- To maintain a visible
Christian presence in the village of Tibberton and a place of public worship;
- To proclaim the gospel of
Christ and the challenge of Gods kingdom -
through Sunday worship, midweek services and
special events, work in the School, and
individual witness;
- To meet the needs of and
provide pastoral care for the members of the
Church and the wider community. This we do
particularly through visiting and the monthly
Coffee Mornings;
- To work towards the greater
unity of Christs Church in Tibberton by
developing ecumenical links with Holy Trinity
Church and the Anglican Benefice in particular,
but also with other local Christians;
- To learn together on our
shared pilgrimage through the building up of our
fellowship, and to support one another in our
individual levels of Christian witness and
service within the community;
- To support the wider work of
mission within the Methodist and universal
Church;
- To contribute to the life,
work and mission of the Gloucester Methodist
Circuit.
