| Gloucestershire's large
load moving community lost a valuable personality in 2003
with the death of John Golding, whose Kingswood - near
Wotton Under Edge - based firm subsequently closed in
2004. The Mellor Brothers tribute - seen here with some
original research material - features a Volvo
FH16 6x2 "left hooker"( built from 2 former Lledo promotional models with super detailing ) hauling a scratchbuilt 1984 vintage Broshuis four-axle goose neck low loader which can extend to 104 feet in length: made using two Langley kits and featuring a donkey engine to lift the hydraulic coupling. Further from the camera is a 1986 Seddon-Atkinson 401 6x2 tractor customised from a Langley white metal kit.

Meanwhile the roof trusses devised by David Mellor (below) are carried by an HGV in the original livery of Williams and Farmers before Williams and Farmers became part of the Travis and Perkins group and took on their house colours.
